P90X, Day 14 — Yoga X and the End of Week 2

P90X Yoga XIf you haven’t noticed yet I’ve been on quite a yoga kick (just check here, here, and here). It just seems that the more I research it, the more ben­e­fits I find when you add it to your work­out rou­tine. That’s why when work got in the way of doing Yoga X this week I made sure to move it to make sure I get it in. The flex­i­bil­ity of the pro­gram allows you to make adjust­ments if needed.

Yoga X was a great way to end the week. Week one saw my rein­tro­duc­tion into the P90X rou­tine and week 2 saw some gains. I saw improve­ments in some of the work­outs, my clothes have been fit­ting a bit bet­ter, and when I checked my weight this morn­ing I was already down 4 pounds. Believe it or not, that actu­ally caught me by sur­prise. If any­thing, I didn’t expect the pounds to drop until week 4, the first of the “recov­ery” weeks. I find 4 pounds lost in the first two weeks a bit impres­sive since the focus on build­ing mus­cle and the mus­cle that I can feel that I’ve put on.

Well, this com­ing week is going to be a bit busy so I won’t be able to check in on a daily basis. I’ll put up an update at the end of the week.
