P90X, Day 26 — X Stretch

X Stretch may be the under­rated work­out in P90X. While I’ve been research­ing yoga, I’ve real­ized how impor­tant stretch­ing is. I’ll admit that when I need a rest day X Stretch is the one that I skip, but I still make the effort to do this rou­tine regularly.

P90X X StretchI dis­lo­cated my right shoul­der was I was younger so when I work­out hard with lots of pushups and other shoul­der exer­cises, my shoul­der gets very sore. I def­i­nitely feel the pain in my shoul­der on days I do Chest & Back. X Stretch has helped with the pain and sore­ness in my shoul­der, much like how Yoga X has helped with the tight­ness in my ham­strings. The pain is still there and I have to watch how hard I push that shoul­der, but doing these Stretch­ing rou­tines and Yoga X dur­ing the week have helped to keep the shoul­der loose. I know I’ve said this before, but P90X will expose just about every fit­ness weak­ness you have. For­tu­nately, X Stretch and Yoga X are two work­outs that can help with that.
