Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey

October 2nd, 2009

Optimum Nutrition’s 100% Whey Gold Standard is my post–workout protein of choice. As I’ve discussed before, I like to workout in the morning. I follow-up my workout with this and a bowl of oatmeal.

It mixes very well and has a good taste, while it’s not a rich as some of the others on the market. The Double Rich Chocolate is my favorite flavor and tastes very good after a hard workout session. I’m a firm believer in defining your own workout goals and doing the research to find routines and nutritional items to help those goals. Not all workout routines allow you tailor to your needs and goals, and the same goes for supplements. My goals are not to “get huge” and put on substantial amounts of muscle. My goals are to get leaner and stronger, while losing excess weight I’ve put on recently. I feel that Optimum Nutrition’s 100% Whey has been a contributing factor in attaining those goals. I’ve added muscle while not adding it to an excess level.

Optimum Nutrition’s 100% Whey Gold Standard is a protein supplement that I would recommend. As always, check with your doctor before adding a protein supplement to your diet.
